Is top round good for slow cooking?

The most commonly recommended cut of meat for slow cooking a pot roast, is chuck roast. I recommend either chuck or top round, because both are affordable and hold up well in a slow cooker.

How do you sterilize a thermometer at home?

Dowse a cotton pad or ball with rubbing alcohol. You can also grab a bleach wipe. Coat the entire body of the thermometer with the disinfectant solution, making sure to rub it in thoroughly. Rinse the thermometer in cool running water to eliminate traces of alcohol.

Can you dehydrate apples in a toaster oven?
