Can you bake things in a toaster oven?

Yes! Toaster ovens are useful for almost everything, but I have found them particularly useful for baking. They really come in handy when you have unexpected guests. Thanks to their ability to heat up quickly, I can bake a small number of cookies to serve my guests in next to no time.

What numbers on plastic are safe?

To make a long story short: plastic recycling numbers 2, 4 and 5 are the safest. Whereas plastic numbers 1, 3, 6 and 7 must be avoided. But it does not indicate that you can fearlessly use safer plastic. All plastic products can leach toxic chemicals when heated or damaged.

How do you clean a dish drying rack?

Add ¼ cup of bleach for each gallon of water. Place the drying rack in the bleach/water mixture and allow it to soak for at least 20 minutes. If the mildew is severe, allow some extra soaking time. After the rack has soaked, use the soft cloth or sponge to gently wipe away any remaining mildew or slime.

How can I test my smoke detector at home?

Test your alarm whether it is battery powered or hard-wired by pressing the button on your smoke alarm and keeping it pressed down. The alarm should sound. If your alarm has no button, it is outdated and must be replaced.
